Trials and suffering can cause us to sin and give up following Jesus. But God offers us the privileges of salvation, Christ’s example and godly living. Now we must use these to persevere in hard times and not give up. This requires perseverance like when the football (soccer) team was rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand in July 2018.
