The Psalms are mainly prayers and songs of praise.

They were the Jewish song-book.

  1. Psalm 8 – God’s greatness and our insignificance
  2. Psalm 22 – Plea for deliverance from enemies
  3. Psalm 23 – Trust in God, the Shepherd King
  4. Psalm 110 – Coronation of the king
  5. Psalm 139 – God’s greatness
