Islam and North Korea

I have written several articles on Islam: Basic Islam, Testing Islam, Islamic prayer and Monolingual Islam. Islam teaches that Allah is the only God and that Mohammad is His prophet.

The Australian government is taking measures against Islamophobia which would favor Islam over others in Australian public life, including mandating Islamic content in state school curriculums. In view of this, it is instructive to compare aspects of Islam against Christianity.

Divine authentication

Muhammad claimed to have received God’s final and ultimate revelation for mankind. But what credentials did he have to speak for God? Was he like the prophets who spoke for God in biblical times?

The claims of Jesus were accompanied by miracles and supernatural signs, as evidence that His message originated with God. But there were no comparable signs establishing Muhammad’s prophetic authority – none are mentioned in the Quran. Instead, Muhammad advanced his cause through force. But military strength is not a divine credential. So, he was not like Jesus or the Old Testament prophets who clearly brought messages from the God who created the universe. Instead, he was a false prophet because he didn’t acknowledge that Jesus was from God (1 Jn. 4:1-3).

Morality

Muhammad’s teaching accommodated bodily desire and offered promises of sensual pleasure. Christianity, by contrast, demands the disciplining of appetite and the elevation of the spiritual life above the gratification of the flesh.

Islam is the principal cause of the decadence so visible today in the Muslim world. Countries that hold tightest to Islamic orthodoxy — Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, and others — remain mired in oppression, poverty, terror, and stagnation.

Truth

Islam mixes truths with fables and serious falsehoods. But divine revelation ought to possess an authority and coherence that does not require additions from human imagination.

The Quran plagiarized myths, fables and legends. It also says that a Samaritan lived at the time of Moses!

Growth

The historical expansion of Islam was achieved by military force, whereas the early church grew through preaching and miracles.

Scope

Islam it is not just a religious faith but a complete totalitarian system. It combines political power and Sharia law with religion and so is a threat to democracy. Islam is incompatible with democracy. Women are treated as property. Apostates are killed. Speech is crushed by blasphemy laws. Blasphemy is punished by the state. To question any part of this system is to defy God. Islam subordinates everything to 7th-century totalitarianism.

The New Testament, on the other hand, deals only with the general relations between people and God and between one person and other people. Christianity focuses on the soul and moral order and leaves politics, science, and daily governance to human reason. It liberates the mind and limits power.

Conclusion

Islam is not a religion like Christianity, but it is a totalitarian system like North Korea.
By supporting Islam and having 74 Laws that restrict Christian freedom, Australian governments seem to be committing civilizational suicide. Islamist extremism is one of the six drivers of discrimination against Australian Christians.
